Brethren,
April was projected to be a busy month and it did not let us down.
We had practices on three Monday nights and on three Wednesday nights as well as our Lodge of Knowledge on the third Wednesday of the month. Besides our Stated Communication, we held a Special Communication on the 11th to initiate a new Brother.
The Holding Corporation met on the 12th and we prepared for the workday/clean up day later in the month. Thank you Bro.Brad Pres.
We had ten Brothers attend a very fun and interesting night at the Grand Lodge on the 17th. This was the first Table Lodge that I and several of our Brothers had ever attended. I think we will be having one of our own soon.
Clean up day on the 21st started around 8 am and continued on until 5:30 pm. While we scrubbed the outside of our Lodge (thank you Bro. Dan for the pressure washer), the DeMolay held an Open House event that went over extremely well. I believe they received five applications with more to follow. Thank you, Brother Ed Harraway, for taking the lead.
Tuesday the 23rd, eight of our line officers traveled to Silver Spring Lodge No. 215 for a fraternal visit and return a 50th anniversary coin Brother Dan found on the Internet. All in all, it was a great time and we plan to do many more fraternal visits this year to promote the Fraternity.
I never cease to be impressed by the Brotherly Love that my Brothers demonstrate not only in their participation in all our events and functions, but especially when anyone has a need.
A lot of you have heard me and our officers say the following statement, which conveys our feelings.
"I LOVE MY LODGE. I LOVE MY LINE."
